Militaries fired at in Troitskaya again

            In the afternoon on the 10th of March, on the outskirts of the village of Troitskaya of Ingushetia’s Sunzhenski district, a group of unknown persons opened fire from automatic weapons at a military post the division of the Ministry of Defense of Russia deployed here. This information was obtained from local residents.

            According to the people, a short cross firing occurred between militaries and attackers. Then the latter have receded and disappeared to unknown direction. No information on victims and injured persons in this incident was received. On the previous day, in Troitskaya, as a result of attack on a military truck a Russian serviceman has been killed.

Serious incident in pre-trial detention center in Nazran

            On the 6th of March, in the pre-trial detention center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nazran a local resident Ruslan Chakhkiev, which was condemned for 24 years of prison, was killed. According to some information, Chakhkiev was delivered to Ingushetia from one of the Russian colonies for conduction of investigation actions and was kept in a single cell. Somehow, he managed to get weapon and a uniform of militia’s employee.

            Having changed his clothes, Chakhkiev made an attempt to leave the detention center, however he was blocked by employees of militia on the territory of the pre-trial detention center. There is information, that Ruslan Chakhkiev rendered armed resistance to employees of law enforcement bodies and died, blowing off a grenade. According to the other version, he was shot out by militiamen. There is information, that during the attempt of detention of Chakhkiev Ali Yandiev, chief of district militia department of Nazran, and one of the employees of the Ingush militia were wounded.

As it became known from an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, four employees of the detention center are detained on suspicion in aiding Chakhkiev and preparation of his escape.

Additional information

                        In second part of March 9, in the village of Troitskaya of Ingushetia’s Sunzhenski district unknown persons moving on a vehicle of "Zhiguli" VAZ-21115 fired at a truck "KAMAZ" with servicemen of federal forces. As a result of the attack, one of two militaries, which were in a cabin of a truck (driver), received a heavy wound and died on the scene. The second serviceman has not suffered.

            The assailants manage to disappear to unknown direction. Their searches undertaken by local law enforcers have not brought any success.

The information on the incident is received from local residents. The surname of the perished serviceman is being established. (Information Release № 1240 of 10 March 2008).

            As it became known today, the victim of bombardment is a 24-years serviceman - contractor Oleg Nikitin.

«Address special operation» in Sernovodsk

            On the 6th of March, in the village of Sernovodsk of Chechnya’s Sunzhenski district, during conduction of the so-called "address special operation", employees of power structures detained a 36-years local resident. The man was taken away to unknown direction. This information was obtained from villagers of the arrested person.

The reasons for detention of the man by law enforcers are unknown.

Detentions of citizens

Grozny city

            Several days ago in Leninski district of the city of Grozny, on Majakovski street, employees of local law enforcement bodies detained an inhabitant of the village of Starye Atagi of Groznenski district Isa Apaev. This information was provided by friends of the detainee.

The circumstances of the incident and the reason of detention of the inhabitant of Starye Atagi by militiamen are being established.

Alkhan-Kala

            According to the information, received from local residents, in the village of Alkhan-Kala of Groznenski district, at the end of February employees of power structures detained a man of about 43-years. There is information that the arrested person was accused of belonging to insurgents and commitment of a grave crime.

The surname of the arrested person is being established.
