In Nazran owners of gambling establishments threatened bodily harm
According to the information, received from local residents, on the previous day in Nazran, leaflets signed by an "Information department of Ingush Dzhamaat of Caucasus’s Imarat" appeared in various places. They contained requirement to owners of slot machines’ halls, as well as to drug-dealers to stop their activity in Ingushetia by March 1 of the current year. Otherwise, owners of game institutions and drug-dealers would undergo physical destruction.
Who and why disseminated such leaflets in Nazran is unknown. According to some information, currently five halls of slot machines function in Nazran today. Some more institutions are available in Karabulak and Ordzhonikidzevskaya. In 2006 and 2007 unknown people accomplished a number of attacks on premises, where halls of slot machines were located. There were no victims and injured persons in these incidents.

Late night on February 8, in the settlement of Novy of Prigorodny district of North Ossetia, employees of militia made an attempt to stop a suspicious car of “Zhiguli” of the 9th model. It was moving along one of the streets of the settlements, where 200 IDP families of Ingush ethnicity from Prigorodny district live. The passengers of the car opened fire at militiamen and tried to escape.
As a result of the clash one of the passengers was killed. One of the militiamen received a light wound to the shoulder. The other two (according to the other source, there were three of them) Двое (по другим данным трое) passengers of the “Zhiguli” ran to the other side of the street and possessed a car “Zhiguli” VAZ 2106, which was standing in the yard of one of the private households. They made a wound to the leg to the mistress of the house, who was trying to prevent stealing of the vehicle. At the exit of the village the car had got into a trench. The assailants left the car and escaped to unknown direction.
Names of the killed person and the wounded militiaman and woman are being established. (Information Release № 1220 dated 11 February 2008).
As it became known, the suffered person was the 45-years local resident Khadizhat Ekazheva.

Attack on militiaman in Gudermes
At night on February 7, in the area of the cemetery in the outskirts of Gudermes unknown persons opened fire from automatic weapons at a car of "Zhiguli" driven by an employee of the republican militia, who was coming back home. As a result of the shooting, the militiaman received several gunshot wounds and was hospitalized to the local hospital.
The assailants managed to disappear to unknown direction. The name of the suffered militiaman is being established.
Detentions of citizens
Vinogradnoye
On February 10, in the village of Vinogradnoye of Groznenski district employees of local and Russian power structures carried out the so-called "address special operation", during which they detained and took away to unknown direction a 25-years local resident. This information was provided by villagers of the arrested person.
There is information that the detainee is accused of belonging to militants.
Argun
According to the information, received from local residents, on the 6th of February, in the town of Argun workers of power departments detained a young man, who was accused of aiding and abetting militants. The circumstances of the incident and the name of the arrested man are being established.
