Militiaman suffered in Gekhi

            On January 9, an explosion occurred in one of the premises of a private house in the village of Gekhi of Urus-Martanovski district. As a result of the explosion a young man, anemployee of the Chechen militia, has received heavy traumas. Later he was hospitalized.

The information on the incident is received from inhabitants of the village. The surname of the victim and the circumstance of it are being established.

Detentions of citizens

Tatai-Kotar

            On January 8, in the village of Tatai-Kotar of Nozhai-Yurtovski district during conduction of the so-called "address cleaning up operation" workers of local law-enforcement structures detained and took away to unknown direction a 51-years local resident. As it became known from one of the villagers of the arrested person, the man was accused of aiding and abetting militants.

According to some information, later he was released with the requirement to come to militia on the short notice. The surname of the man is not provided due to the request of the source. 

Grozny

            Several days ago in the city of Grozny, in the area of Popovich street, employees of power structures detained a young man. This information became known from a city dweller.

At present it is known that the detained young man of the age of about 22 - 24 years, was the resident of the village of Mairtup of Kurchaloiski district. The reason for his detention by law enforcers is unknown.

Local resident detained in Galashki

            On January 10, in the village of Galashki of Sunzhenski district employees of local power structures detained a 46-years resident of this settlement Daud Yevloev. The information on it is received from villagers of the arrested person.

According to the information received from them, Yevloev is accused by aw enforcers of participation in attack on vehicles with employees of militia in the village of Nesterovskaya of Sunzhenski district, which had occurred on the 8th of January. As a result of this attack two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had been killed.

Large-scale fire petroleum base in Karabulak

            According to the information received from local residents, at the dawn on the 11th of January at the petroleum-product storage and distribution center located in the town of Karabulak the tank with oil capacity of three thousand cubic meters has lighted up. In opinion of local residents, the cause of the fire was bombardment of the territory of the petroleum-product center, presumably from a grenade cup discharge, because just before the fire break of the oil tank people had heard a loud clap.

            The information on victims and injures as a result of the fire at the petroleum base in Karabulak was not reported. It is not the first incident occurred at petroleum enterprises in Karabulak. Several months ago unknown persons had opened a fire from a grenade cup discharge at the territory of the oil-refining factory.
