Attack on law enforcers near Chishki

            According to the information received from local residents, in the morning on the 15th of January on the road at the village of Chishki of Groznenski district unknown persons hiding in a large forest opened a fire at a column of three vehicles (one "UAZ" and two "Urals") with the Russian militaries. According to the available information, as a result of the attack two persons were wounded.

            Assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. Later employees of power structures arrived in the area of the incident and carried out "cleaning up operation" of it.

Young girl disappeared in Grozny

            On January 11, in Oktiabrski district of the city of Grozny a young girl, the resident of Grozny, has disappeared in unclear circumstances. According to the available information, she left the house in the morning of that day and did not returned.

According to some information, last time the girl was seen in the area of "Minutka" square of Grozny. The surname of the disappeared resident of the city is being established.

«Address special operation» in Belgatoi

            On January 14, in the village of Belgatoi of Shalinski district during the so-called "address special operation" workers of local law-enforcement structures detained and took away to unknown direction one of the inhabitants of this settlement. The information on it is received from villagers of the man.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the arrested person are being established. According to some information, a "standard" charge in aiding militants was brought against the arrested person.

            Late night on the 13 of January, in a large forest in the vicinity of the village of Sharo-Argun of Shatoiski district unknown persons fired from automatic weapons at employees of militia and militaries conducting «special operation». As a result of this attack, one militiaman has been killed. At least, one more employee of law enforcement bodies received a gunshot wound.

The information on it is received from an inhabitant of Sharo-Argun. The circumstances of the incident and the surname of killed and wounded militiamen are being established. (Information Release № 1120 dated 15 January 2008).

            The surnames of the deceased and wounded employees of militia were established. They are employees of Shatoi militia department Isa Bagalov and Gelani Muradov. The latter is in one of Grozny hospitals with heavy chest wound.

      Explosion in slot machine hall in Nazran

            In the morning on the 14th of January, in the building of a slot machine hall located on Mutaliev street in Nazran a powerful explosion has occurred. This information was received from city dwellers. Doors and windows of the premises as well as walls and ceiling are damaged.

The information on victims and injures as a result of this incident are not reported.
