Local resident blew off on mine in Urus-Martan district 

            According to the information, received from inhabitants of Urus-Martanovski district, on the 17th of March,a 18-years young man, the inhabitant of the village of Martan-Chu of Urus-Martanovski district blew off on a mine, while gathering wild garlic in a large forest. The young man was hospitalized with heavy wound to the leg. No other injured people are reported in this incident.

Explosion in Grozny city

            In the morning of the 17th of March, Grozny’s Zavodskoi district, on the crossing of Mayakovski and Tchitcherin streets, a powerful explosion occurred. According to local residents, the land mine placed on a roadside has blown up at the moment, when an armored troop carrier with Russian militaries was passing by.

            There were no victims and casualties in this incident. Later, the area, where the explosion had occurred, was blocked by militaries and militiamen, who conducted the so-called “mopping up operation” of the area for detection of new explosives.

Detentions of citizens

Grozny’s Leninski district

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of the city of Grozny, on March 11, in Leninski district of the city employees of militia detained a young woman. According to the source, employees of patrol team stopped a car driven by a woman for check.

After the checked of the documents, employees of militia conducted examination of the car, and then detained the driver. The reason for detention of the inhabitant of Grozny by law enforcers is unknown.

Grozny’s Staropromyslovski district

            According to one of the residents of Staropromyslovski district of the city of Grozny, several days ago employees of power structures conducted the so-called "address special operation", during which they detained his friend, the 43-years man. Law enforcers accused him of belonging to insurgents and participation in operations in the first military campaign in the republic.

The name of the detainee is not provided due to the request of the source.

Komsomolskoe village

            On March 6, in the village of Komsomolskoe of Grozny rural district workers of law enforcement bodies detained and took away to unknown direction a 25-years local resident. The circumstances of the incident and the name of the arrested person are being established.

According to some information, a "standard charge" in belonging to militants was brought against the detainee.

Militia officer murdered in Nazran

            In second half of the 14th of March, in the city of Nazran, in the area of Mutaliev street, unknown persons fired from pistols at a jeep driven by an employee of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, the lieutenant of militia Magomed Vyshegurov. As a result of the attack, the militiaman received several gunshot wounds and died on the way to the hospital.

The information on the incident is received from city dwellers. The attackers managed to disappear to unknown direction. The reason for punishment above Vyshegurov is unknown.
