Militia vehicle blew up in Nazran

            According to the information, received from an inhabitant of the village of Ekazhevo of Nazranovski district, on the highway near this village a vehicle “UAZ” has blown up. Nobody suffered in this explosion, as a militiaman, driver of this "UAZ", was in the shop.

The incident has occurred approximately at midday. According to one source, the reason of explosion of militia "UAZ" is shooting from a grenade cup discharge. The other source says that the vehicle has blown up as a result of explosion of a land mine.

Life attempt on employee of Parliamnet in Nazran

            In the evening on the 18th of February, on Mutaliev street in the city of Nazran unknown persons opened fire from a pistol at a car driven by the 32-years Ruslan Gagiev, a reviewer of the Parliament of Ingushetia. According to one of the eyewitnesses of the incident, the attackers made several shots at the car "Zhiguli", and then disappeared to unknown direction.

            The reason for attack on Gagiev is unknown. Employees of law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia conduct searches of assailants, who had attacked the official.

Militiamen fired at in Barsuki

            At night on the 14th of February, on Alkhanchurtskaya street in the village of Barsuki of Nazranovski district a group of unknown persons moving on a vehicle "Zhiguli" VAZ-2110 of silvery color opened fire from automatic weapons at a vehicle of "UAZ-TABLET", in which were employees of Ingush militia. As a result of this attack, several militiamen (the number varies from six to eleven persons) were wounded.

            The assailants managed to escape. Their searches undertaken by employees of republican law enforcement bodies have not brought any results.

Man detained in Gudermes district

            On February 14, on the highway near the town of Gudermes employees of power structures stopped for check a car of "Zhiguli" VAZ-2106. After the documents check and examination of the interior of the car, the driver was detained.

This information was obtained from one of eyewitnesses of the incident. The reason for detention of the man by law enforcers is unknown. His surname is being established.

Additional information

            According to the information, received from residents of the village of Dai of Shatoy district, on the 15th of February in the vicinity of this settlement a group of militants opened fire at a truck "Ural" and a vehicle "UAZ" with militaries. There are no victims and injures in this incident.

            Later, the area of the incident was blocked by employees of local militia and a regiment of special troops of the MoI of the Chechen Republic. Law enforcers revealed four militants, who were killed as a result of the clash. According to the information currently available, one of the killed persons was Ruslan Seriev, born in 1989, a resident of Sharo-Argun. The surnames of the other militants are being established. (Information Release № 1225 dated 18 February 2008).

            Today surnames of two more militants killed on the 15th of February became known. They are Zelimkhan Shuipov and Lema Khanzalatov, residents of Groznenski district of the republic. Identity of the fourth militants is not established yet.
