Fighting in Shatoi district

            According to the information, received from local residents, in the afternoon on 1 April in the vicinity of the village of Ulus-Kert of Shatoi district a clash between employees of power structures and a group of insurgents occurred. As a result of the short firing one of the law enforcers received wound and was hospitalized. The information about casualties and wounded persons among insurgents is not available.

The surname of the wounded worker of power departments is being established. At present it is known that the victim is an employee of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs.

«Address special operation» in Bamut

            On March 31, in the village of Bamut of Achkhoi-Martanovski district during conduction of the so-called "address sweeping up operation" employees of power structures detained and took away to unknown direction a 28-years local resident. This information was provided by villagers of the arrested person.

The reason for detention of the young man is unknown. His surname is not provided due to the request of inhabitants of Bamut, who informed on this incident.

Man detained in Chiri-Yurt

            On 26 of March, in the village of Chiri-Yurt of Shalinski district workers of law enforcement bodies detained one of the local residents. The information on the incident is received from an inhabitant of Shalinski district.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the arrested person are being established.

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of the city of Grozny, two days ago in the city of Rostov-on-Don employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained his friend, an inhabitant of Urus-Martanovski district (the surname is not provided due to the request of the source). The young man was accused by law enforcers of belonging to insurgents. (Информационный выпуск № 1256 от 1 апреля 2008 г).

            According to the information, received from an inhabitant of Urus-Martanovski district, the arrested person in Rostov-on-Don is his close relative. He is the 31-years Shamkhail Shaipov. According to the source, in 2003 Shaipov, who for some time was a member of one of the militant groups, had been condemned for 8 years of imprisonment, but then he was amnestied.

Now, according to the interlocutor, again Shaipov was accused of participation in the armed formations.
