Militiaman murdered in Malgobek district

            At night on June 2, in the outskirts of the village of Novy Redant of Malgobekski district unknown persons fired from automatic weapon at a police checkpoint located here. As a result, one of the police officers, a 30 years Osman Kartoev, was severely injured. Later he died in the hospital.  

            The assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. Their searches undertaken by law enforcers have not brought any results.

Car of businessman blown up in Nazran

            According to the information, received from local residents, on June 1, in the city of Nazran a powerful explosion took place. Later it was revealed that in the yard of a private household belonging to one of the local residents, the owner of slot machines hall, a vehicle of “Lexus” was blown up. As a result, significant damage was caused to the house.

The information about victims or injures among members of the family of the businessman was not received. The name of the businessman is being established.

Life attempt at Aushev’s relative in Surkhakhi

            In the morning on 29 May, in the village of Surkhakhi of Nazranovski district, on Yuzhnaya street unknown persons moving in a car of "Zhiguli" VAZ-2110 of silvery color opened fire from automatic weapons at a vehicle "Toyaota" of the cousin of the ex-president of Ingushetia Ruslan Aushev, the head of the regional branch of the party of Right Forces Union, ex-lawmaker of the republican parliament Vakha Yevloyev. Yevloyev was injured and then hospitalized in grave condition.

Who and with what purpose had accomplished this attack on Vakha Yevloyev is unknown. Assailants managed to escape. The information on the incident is received from local residents.

Two servicemen murdered in Upper Achaluki

            On May 28, in the village of Upper Achaluki of Malgobekski district, on a highway from Malgobek to Nazran a group of unidentified persons opened fire from sub-machine guns at a vehicle, in which there were several Russian militaries. According to eyewitnesses, two militaries were killed in the scene.

Three others have been hospitalized with various wounds.

            On 30 May, on Doprizyvnikov street of Grozny’s Staropromyslovski district the entrance of one of multi-flat buildings has collapsed. Two builders have received heavy mutilation and traumas and have been hospitalized to the 9-th city hospital. The condition of one of them is estimated as serious.

According to local residents, no one lived in the apartments of the fallen riser blocks of flats of the five-storeyed building, and this helped to avoid numerous human victims. The reasons of the collapse are unknown.

Man killed in crossfire with militia in Grozny

            In the second half of 31 May, in the area of Biryukova street of Oktiabrski district of Grozny employees of power structures undertook the attempt to detain a young man. The latter rendered armed resistance and was killed in cross firing. One of militiamen was wounded.

The information on the incident is received from eyewitnesses. The surname of the killed men is being established.
