Fighting in Vedeno district
According to inhabitants of the village of Benoi of Vedenski district, in the afternoon on the 20th of January in the vicinity of this settlement an armed conflict between a group of militants and employees of power structures has occurred. Shooting, according to statements of people, proceeded for about half an hour.
The information on victims among participants of the clash was not reported. Since morning of 21st of January in the area of Benoi a "special operation" aimed at search for militants is underway.
In Sunzhenski district woman died due to the fault of militaries
On the 18th of January, in the Sunzhenski district of the Chechen Republic, on a crossroads of roads Assinovskaya-Sernovodsk, an armored troop-carrier with Russian militaries rammed into a bus of PAZ. As a result of the clash a 34-years pregnant woman (the surname is being established) has died, and six more passengers have received wounds and traumas of various degrees.
According to eyewitnesses of the incident, the accident occurred due to the fault of militaries. Besides, the team of the armored car was drunk. Local residents consider that offenders of the incident, which have entailed the death of a woman, will not be punished, as usually in such cases militaries shift all fault to local residents and do the utmost to blanch over their subordinates.
Resident of Sernovodsk killed in cross firing
On the 12th of January on Petropavlovsk highway in Leninski district of the city of Grozny workers of power structures made an attempt to detain a 23 years inhabitant of the village of Sernovodsk of Chechnya’s Sunzhenski district Adam Askhabova. During the detention Askhabov was heavily wounded and later died in the hospital.
Law enforcers said that he made resistance and was armed with a pistol and a self-made grenade.

Petrapavlovskoye
On January 16, in the village of Petropavlovskoye of Groznenski district employees of power structures conducted the so-called "address special operation", during which a local resident Ganzaev was detained. This information became known from villagers of the arrested person.
According to some information, the house of the arrested person was searched and weapon was confiscated.
Argun
According to the information, received from local residents, on the 14th of January in the town of Argun, in the area of Titov street, workers of local law-enforcement structures detained and took away to unknown direction two young men. There is information that the arrested persons were brought against a "standard" charge in belonging to militants.
Surnames of the detainees are being established.
Grozny’s Oktiabrski district
Several days ago in Oktiabrski district of the city of Grozny, on Tramvainaya street employees of law enforcement bodies detained a young man. Eyewitnesses of the incident have provided this information.
According to the source, the detainee was accused of aiding and abetting militants.

In the afternoon on the 16th of January, in a large forest in the vicinity of the village of Benoi of Vedenski district a clash between employees of power structures and a group of militants has occurred. According to the information received from inhabitants of Vedenski district, the cross firing proceeded for about one hour. According to some information, both sides have victims.

Today some details about the incident became known. As a result of this clash, a 30-years inhabitant of Dagestan Khadzhimurad Yaganov was killed. He was considered as one of "amirs" of militants.

Attack on building of Central Post Office
Late night on the 20th of January, in the center of Nazran unknown persons opened fire from grenade launchers at the building the Central Post Office, located in immediate proximity from the disposition of Nazran border guard detachment. As a result of the attack (according to some information, three shots from a grenade cup discharge were made), insignificant damage was caused to the building. No casualties were reported in this incident.
Meanwhile, according to the information, received from local residents, right after explosions an intensive shooting preceded for about 15 minutes near the building of the city militia department in Nazran. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
