Arbitrariness of law enforcers towards organizer of meeting 

            According to the information, received from Nazran, on the 21st of January employees of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs detained and took to the city militia department Maksharip Aushev, a businessman well known in the republic. He was one of the organizers of the meeting planned for January 26. Several hundreds of people person gathered in front of the building of the city militia department, who demanded to release Aushev. About 19:00 in the evening Maksharip Aushev was released.

            On the same day employees of Russian and local power structures conducted searches at the office and warehouse of Maksharip Aushchev’s firm located on Chechenskaya street. In opinion of local residents, the reason for such actions by law enforcers towards Aushev was that he was one of the organizers of a mass meeting planned in Nazran for January 26.

Attack on militia officer in Nazran

            In the evening on the 21st of January, in the city of Nazran unknown persons made an armed attack on the officer of militia Magomed Torshkhoev. As it became known from one of the local residents, several shots from automatic weapon were made at the militiaman.

            Torshkhoev, who temporarily heads the Temporary Containment Cell of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, received a gunshot wound to the leg and was hospitalized. Assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. Their searches undertaken by employees of law enforcement bodies have not given any results.

House of Prime Minister fired at in Nazran

            According to inhabitants of the city of Nazran, several days ago late night shootings from automatic weapons and grenade cup discharges had been heard in the area of the central market. According to some information, unknown persons opened a fire at the house of the Chairman of the Ingush government Ibragim Malsagov.

            There is information, that his house received significant damage. According to the other source, the house of Malsagov had not suffered, and the reason of night shootings near the house of the Chairman of Ingush Cabinet is not established.

            In 2005 there was life attempt at Ibragim Malsagov. Two powerful explosive devices detonated on the way of his cortege in Nazran. One guard had been killed and two others had been wounded. Malsagov himself had received a fragmental wound.

Local resident detained in Novye Atagi

Several days ago in the village of Novye Atagi of Groznenski district, workers of local militia detained and took away to unknown direction one of the local residents (the surname is being established). This information was provided by villagers of the arrested person.

According to some information, the detainee was accused of belonging to militants.

On the 18th of January, in the Sunzhenski district of the Chechen Republic, on a crossroads of roads Assinovskaya-Sernovodsk, an armored troop-carrier with Russian militaries rammed into a bus of PAZ. As a result of the clash a 34-years pregnant woman (the surname is being established) has died, and six more passengers have received wounds and traumas of various degrees.

According to eyewitnesses of the incident, the accident occurred due to the fault of militaries. Besides, the team of the armored car was drunk. Local residents consider that offenders of the incident, which have entailed the death of a woman, will not be punished, as usually in such cases militaries shift all fault to local residents and do the utmost to blanch over their subordinates. As it became known, the victim of the road accident occurred due to the fault of Russian militaries is the 34-years local inhabitant Leila Kursaeva. The woman died in the hospital from received traumas.
