Non-governmental organizations of Chechnya intend to fight with xenophobia
In the afternoon on 22 February in Grozny was conducted “Round table” organized by non-governmental organizations including into Forum of Chechen civil society which united many human rights and public organizations of Chechnya. One of initiator of Forum conducting was the Council of Chechen non-governmental organizations. Representatives of local mass-media took part in this event.
In spite of conducting Forum before next date of mass deportation of the Chechens and Ingush in years of Stalin’s despotism, today problems became the basic topic of discussion. The main out of them is informational terror in relation of Chechen nation from the side of Russian mass-media.
Gathered participants took decision to start since 23 February conducting Month on fight with these phenomena. From tomorrow it is supposed to start collection of citizens’ signs in the republic against large-scale anti-Chechen campaign at the Russian television, print and electronic mass-media. In addition it was taken a decision to apply to court to Russian television channels which present movies of anti-Chechen contain. Action “Black pen of Russia” will be continue as well (last year journalist Mikhail Leontyev who is well-known with his anti-Chechen utterances was “awarded”).
Participants of “Round table” came to an agreement that it is necessary to involve representatives of local bodies of authorities (deputies of new republican Parliament as well) into their activity.
Young man is kidnapped in Shali
On 21 February in district center Shali servicemen of unstated force structures kidnapped a young man (his surname is clarifying). As it became known, the young man came to the hospital with his sitter.
Suddenly armed “force representatives” rushed into the reception. They seized the young man without any explanations and took him away to unknown direction. ”. It is unknown what the reason for his abduction was.
Two year-old boy perished in Argun
On 18 February in Argun city two year-old boy perished. According to some data, he got heavy electrical traumas touched damaged electrical cable. Information is received from a local resident from Argun.
People are missing in Chechnya

According to information received from local residents, several days ago in Argun a young woman with little child disappeared. According to available data, the woman with her child went by route taxi toward Grozny. During the way the taxi was stopped by armed people in camouflage uniform who took the woman to unknown direction.
Circumstances of happened incident and surname of kidnapped woman are clarifying.
Grozny
As a resident from Grozny rural’s Pervomaiskoye settlement informed, on 17 February 29 year-old Askhab Arsakaev was missing. In the morning he went by his car “Zhiguli” to Grozny and has not returned.
Whereabouts and further destiny of Arsakaev are unknown.
Health state of schoolchildren, victims of unknown illness, became worse
Last several days alarm news is coming from Shelkovskoi district of the republic. Local residents informed, that health state of schoolchildren, victims of mysterious illness in the end of last year, who were treated out the republic, became worse. Bleeding at the nose, assaults of asphyxia are marked by doctors.
Doctors consider that 4 out of them need urgent hospitalization and treatment in medical institutions of Moscow under specialist watching. State of more 20 victims is considered as very heavy.
