In Shali boy shot down her sister

            As it became known from an inhabitant of the district center of Shali, on June 22, in one of the private houses, a seven-years boy, as a result of casual handling of a hunting gun, which was belonging to his father, fatally wounded his five-years sister. The girl died on the scene.

The circumstances of the incident are being established. 

Employee of MoI murdered near Mekenskaya

            According to the information received from local residents, in the first half of June 22, in the vicinity of the village of Mekenskaya of Naurski district unknown persons fired from automatic weapons at a column from five militia vehicles. As a result of this attack, one employee of militia was killed.

There is information that the killed person was an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation from Republic of Adygea (the surname is being established). Assailants managed to disappear to unknown direction. Their searches have not brought any results.

Fighting near Makhkety

            In the evening on 21 June, in a large forest in the vicinity of the village of Makhkety of Vedenski district there was an armed conflict between employees of power departments and a small group of insurgents. According to inhabitants of this settlement, firing proceeded about half an hour. During the clash one insurgent has been killed. There are three injured persons among law enforcers.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the killed insurgent and wounded employees of power structures are being established.

Local resident detained in Grozny

            On 18 June, in Staropromyslovski district of the city of Grozny, during conduction of the so-called "targeted cleaning up operation" employees of power departments detained and took away to unknown direction a young man. This information was obtained from a city dweller.

According to him, law enforcers accused the arrested person of belonging to insurgents. The surname of the arrested person is not provided due to the request of the source of the information.

Land mine neutralized in Nazran

            According to the information, received from local residents, in the morning on June 22, on the Greidernaya and Oskanova street intersection in Nazran a land mine incorporated in the immediate proximity from the road was revealed. Employees of power structures, who arrived to the place of the incident, blocked the adjoining area, and then sappers have neutralized the bomb.

Additional information

            As it became known from inhabitants of the town of Malgobek, at night on 15 June unknown persons moving in a vehicle of "Mercedes" of white color fired from grenade cup discharges and sub-machine guns at an armored vehicle of "UAZ" with workers of the city militia department. As a result of the attack, an officer (the surname is being established) and a militiaman-driver of the car Adam Khamkhoev were severely wounded.

Attackers managed to escape. Their searches have not brought any success. (Information Release № 1313 of 19 June 2008).

            Today the information on the second wounded employee of Ministry of Internal Affairs RI became known. He was the lieutenant colonel of militia Khamzat Kartoev.
