Man killed in Prigorodnoye

            According to one of the inhabitants of the village of Prigorodnoye of Groznenski district, on the night of March 24, during conduction of the so-called "special operation" in this settlement militaries of one of the divisions of Internal troops of the MoI of Russia (presumably, it is the battalion of special task "North") a young man was killed. The incident occured on Kunta-Khadzhi street.

Law enforcers stated that at the attempt to check the documents the person tried to render armed resistance and was shot down during the cross-firing. The circumstances of the incident and the name of the killed person are being established.

Vehicle with militiamen fired at in Grozny

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of Zavodskoi district of the city of Grozny, in the morning on the 21st of March, in the area of Gudermesskaya Street unknown persons moving on a car of VAZ-21099 opened fire at a vehicle "UAZ", in which there were employees of militia. As a result of the attack, the driver of "UAZ" was wounded. There are no other victims among militiamen.

The attackers managed to disappear to unknown direction. Their identity is not established.

Local resident detained in Chernorechie

            In the afternoon on the 18th of March, in the settlement of Chernorechie of Zavodskoi district of the city of Grozny, during conduction of the so-called "address special operation" employees of militia detained and took away to unknown direction a local resident Musaev. This information was obtained from friends of the arrested person.

According to some information, law enforcers accused Musaev of belonging to insurgents.

Additional information

            According to the information, received from local residents, late night on 19 March, in the village of Alkhazurovo of Urus-Martanovski district a fighting happened between a group of fighters of about 15 people and employees of law enforcement bodies. During this clash five law enforcers and approximately three militants were killed. Also, two local residents were killed.

            Besides, as a result of the night incident about six persons were wounded. There are a teenager and two women about injured people. The circumstances of the incident and names of the casualties and wounded people in Alkhazurovo are being established. (Информационный выпуск № 1248 от 20 марта 2008 г).

            Today surnames of the people killed and injured in this incident became known. According to local residents, employees of republican MoI Elmurzaev, Makaev and Tiasumov as well as employee of Shatoiski military prosecutor’s Office Masaev were killed in the clash with fighters. Also one of the killed fighters was identified – he was a resident of the village of Chechen-Aul of Groznenski district Munaev.

Besides, as a result of the firing local residents Usaev and Elberdov were killed. Three militiamen, two women and a 16-years teenager received different wounds. Their surnames are being established.

Terrorist attack prevented in Ordzhonikidzevskaya

            On the previous day, in the central market in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya of Sunzhenski district a large act of terrorism was prevented. According to the available information, on the territory of the market a powerful explosive devise was revealed.

The bomb was neutralized by military sappers. Inhabitants of the village informed on it. Who and with what purpose placed a land mine on the territory of the market is unknown.

Local resident died in Nazran

            According to the information, received from one of the inhabitants of the city of Nazran, in the evening on the 22nd of March, in the city centre, as a result of a cross-firing occurred at the wedding, two young men were injured - 20-years Ramzan Medov and 19-years Magomed Khalmurziev. Later Khalmurziev died in the hospital.

According to some information, the reason of the incident was an ordinary quarrel between the young men. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
