Land mine found in Grozny

            In the afternoon on 23 June, in immediate proximity from a summer cafe located on Pervomaiskaya -street in Leninski district of the city of Griozny, a self-made bomb incorporated into a round metal tank was found. This information was received from eyewitnesses of the incident.

According to them, the place, where the land mine has been found, was blocked by militiamen. Later, militaries arrived there, who neutralized the bomb. Who and with what purpose has installed a powerful land mine near the cafe is unknown.

Tractor driver wounded on Grozny-Argun highway

            In the afternoon on 22 June, on the highway Grozny-Argun, an artillery shell blew off under a ladle of the bulldozer during earthworks excavations. As a result, the driver of the bulldozer received a contusion and fragmental wound and was delivered to the hospital. There are no other victims during the explosion.

The information on it is received from an inhabitant of the city of Grozny. Sappers,w ho arrived in the place of the  incident, examined the area for availability of other items of ordnance. According to one of them, it was a miracle that the driver of the bulldozer has survived , because almost all splinters of the blown up shell have got into the ladle of the tractor.

Local resident murdered in Katayama

            According to the information, received from an inhabitant of Staropromyslovski district of the city of Grozny, several days ago, in the settlement of Katayama employees of power structures killed a young man during a so-called "targeted special operation". Law enforcers stated that he had rendered armed resistance at the attempt of detention. The surname of the killed person and circumstances of the incident are being established.

Local resident detained in Gudermes district

            On 19 June in Gudermes district employees of local law enforcement bodies detained one of the inhabitants of the village of Shuani of Vedenski district. According to friends of the arrested person, he was engaged in sale of DWD and compact discs and was not involved in fulfillment of any crimes.

The reason for his detention is unknown. The surname of the arrested person is not provided due to the request of the information source. 

Additional information

            According to the information received from local residents, in the first half of June 22, in the vicinity of the village of Mekenskaya of Naurski district unknown persons fired from automatic weapons at a column from five militia vehicles. As a result of this attack, one employee of militia was killed.

There is information that the killed person was an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation from Republic of Adygea (the surname is being established). Assailants managed to disappear to unknown direction. Their searches have not brought any results. (Information release № 1315 of 23 June 2008).

            Today it became known that employee of Road Patrol Service of State Road Traffic Inspection of MoI of Adygea Kazim Beidullaev became the victim of the attack.
