Resident of Belorechie detained in Gudermes

            As it became known from inhabitants of the town of Gudermes, on 24 June employees of power departments detained and took away to unknown direction a young man of about 40 years. There is information that militiamen stopped the man for check, then searched him and took him with them.

The reason for his detention is unknown. At present the only available information that the arrested person is an inhabitant of Belorechie of Gudermeski district.

«Address special operation» in Valerik

            According to the information, received from inhabitants of the village of Valerik of Achkhoi-Martanovski district, on 12 June employees of unidentified power departments, without providing any charges, grasped and took him away to unknown direction the 25-years Khasan Biltaeva living in a house on Gairbekov-street. Later relatives of the arrested person managed to find out that law enforcers incriminated him participation in military operations.

However, relatives and friends of the young man say that he had no relation to insurgents and he had been never noticed in fulfillment anything reprehensible.

Additional information

            In the evening on 21 June, in a large forest in the vicinity of the village of Makhkety of Vedenski district there was an armed conflict between employees of power departments and a small group of insurgents. According to inhabitants of this settlement, firing proceeded about half an hour. During the clash one insurgent has been killed. There are three injured persons among law enforcers.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the killed insurgent and wounded employees of power structures are being established. (Information Release № 1317 of 23 June 2008).

Today it became known that during the clash near Makhkety three insurgents have been killed. They are residents of Makhkety Yusup Dechilaev and Islam Temishev and an inhabitant of Dagestan Mavsur Bolatov.

Militia officer killed in Makhachkala

            At night on 23 June in the center of Makhachkala unknown persons moving in a car opened fire from automatic weapons at a vehicle "Mercedes" driven by a militia officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan. The militiaman died on a place of incident from received wounds. The information about the incident is received from an eyewitness of the event.

It was found out later that the victim of unstated killers became the chief of city militia department of Buinaksk the colonel of militia Magomedarip Aliev. Assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. The attempt to detain him "hot on the heels" has failed.

Corpse of woman found in Nizhny Achaluki

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of the village of Nizhny Achaluki of Malgobekski district, on 16 June on the outskirts of this village a corpse of a woman with attributes of violent death has been found. According to some information, the killed person was an inhabitant of the settlement of Yuzhny of this district.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the killed person are being established.
