Several people died in car accident in Nadterechny district

            According to the information, received from local residents, late night on the 25th of March, on the road between settlements of Znamenskoye and Upper Naur of Nadterechni district two vehicles collided: VAZ-21114 and BMW. As a result of this accident, on the place of the accident seven persons have died.. Three more persons were hospitalized with wounds of different degrees.

The circumstances of the incident and surnames of the casualties and wounded people are being established.

Arbitrariness of law enforcers towards local resident

            According to inhabitants of the village of Goity of Urus-Martanovski district, in the morning on the 22nd of March, armed persons in camouflage uniform and masks detained and took away to unknown direction an inhabitant of the settlement Dzhamlai Daltagov, the owner of a small shop specialized on automobile spare parts trade. Later, Daltagov was released by thieves with the requirement to bring next day two million rubles to the place determined by them.

            Daltagov approached for assistance to the department of Fight against Organized Crime. Next day all extortioners were detained after short cross-firing. According to the source, all arrested persons were employees of one of the local power structures.

Additional information

            On the 24th of March, in a large forest at the village of Alleroi of Kurchaloiski district, as a result of explosion on a land mine, two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic died. The information on the incident was received from inhabitants of this village. The circumstances of the incident and surnames of casualties are being established. (Information Release № 1251 of 25 March 2008).

            Today, surnames of the victims deceased in the incident became known. They are employees of division of private guarding at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic Temirsultanov and Esuev.

Attack on house of local resident accomplished in Upper Achaluki

            According to the information received from local residents, late night on the 25-th of March, unknown persons threw a pomegranate to the yard of the house of the family of Kuzgovs. As a result of the explosion, the windows are broken and insignificant damage is caused to the building. Who and with what purpose had accomplished the attack on the house of Kuzgovs is unknown.

«Address special operation» in Plievo

            On the previous day in the village of Plievo of Nazranovski district employees of local power structures conducted the so-called “address special operation”, during which they detained and took away a 21-years Gardanov. According to the local residents, Gardanov was a local healer using non-traditional methods, in particular, reading surs from Koran. Along with him, law enforcers detained several people, who were in the house, awaiting their turn to see the healer.

            The house, where Gardanov was receiving visitors, was searched. There is information that later law enforcers informed that they had found ammunition and extremist literature during the search.  

Bomb was revealed in Nazran

            According to one of the residents of the city of Nazran, on 23 March, on the cross-road of Bazorkin and Kartoev streets an explosive devise was revealed there. “The hellish machine” was defused by suppers, who arrived to the scene.

            Identity of the people who were preparing the terrorist act at one of the lively streets in Nazran was not established.

Militia officer wounded in Ordzhonikidzevskaya

            Several days ago in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya of Ingushetia’s Sunzhenski district an explosion has occurred. The self-made bomb, placed at the roadside had detonated when a vehicle “UAZ” with militiamen stopped nearby. According to witnesses of the incident, as a result of the explosion, one of the militiamen was wounded.

            The surname of the victim is being established.
