Arbitrariness of law enforcers in Nazran

            In the morning on 26 June, in the city of Nazran employees of local power structures searched a house of Akhmed Kotiev, acting chairman of oppositional Mekhk-Khel of Ingushetia. This information was received from an inhabitant of Nazran.

There is information that office equipment and more than dozens of thousand sheets of paper with signatures of inhabitants of Ingushetia supporting return to the post of president of Ingushetia of Ruslan Aushev was withdrawn from the house of Kotiev.

Attack on house of militiamen in Yandare

            According to the information, received from local residents, on the night of June 26, in the village of Yandare of Nazranovski district unknown persons fired from a grenade cup discharge and automatic weapons at a private house, in which brothers of Kursaevs, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, live. The insignificant damage is caused to the household.

Due to the dark time assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. Their identity and motivations to accomplish the attack on the house of Kursaevs are unknown. There are no other victims and injures reported in this incident.

Explosion in Surkhakhi

At night on 25 June, in the village of Surkhakhi of Nazranovski district, near one of the private households, a powerful explosion occurred. The blast has seriously damaged the fence and the part of the house.

The information on the incident is received from an inhabitant of the settlement. According to some information, the land mine blew off near the house, in which the family of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia lives. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

Additional information

                        According to the information received from an inhabitant of the village of Nizhny Achaluki of Malgobekski district, on 16 June on the outskirts of this village a corpse of a woman with attributes of violent death has been found. According to some information, the killed person was an inhabitant of the settlement of Yuzhny of this district.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the killed person are being established.  (Information Release № 1317 of 25 June 2008).

            According to the information, received from an inhabitant of Malgobekski district, a 42-years inhabitant of the village of Yuzhny Galina Beketova became a victim of punishment from unidentified persons.

Detention of local in Znamenskoye

            Several days ago in the village of Znamenskoye of Nadterechni district employees of power structures detained a 48-years man. The surname of the man and the reason of his detention are being established.

The information on detention of the man is received from his villagers.

Man wounded in Shali

            According to one of the inhabitants of the town of Shali, in the afternoon on 15 June, the 35-years Ramzan Akhmatkhanov was wounded in his own courtyard. It happened as a result of explosion of an item of ordnance. According to the available information, the man, who was engaged in gathering of scrap metal, has found at a dump a shell, which he brought home and tried to cut.

The blast torn off his limbs and eyes. He is in the hospital, and his state is considered as extremely grave.
