            According to the information received from local residents, on February 26, in the village of Surkhakhi of Nazranovski distric employees of law enforcement structures conducted the so-called «address special operation». As a result of this action two inhabitants of this village were detained and taken away to unknown direction.

According to the available information, the detainees were accused of participation in an attack on employees of a mobile group of the MoI of Russia, as a result of which two employees of militia had been wounded. This incident occurred on the 22nd of February in the area of the village of Gamurzievo of Nazranovski district. (Information release № 1230 of 25 February 2008).

Militiaman killed in Nesterovskaya

On the 23rd of February, near the village of Yandare of Nazranovski district an employee of Ingush militia was killed. As it became known from one of the local residents, the killed militiaman had been shot from small arms by his colleague. They had had a quarrel before that.

The inspector of the motor licensing and inspection department of the MoI of Ingushetia Yusup Dzakharov died on the way to the hospital. He had got several gunshot wounds, caused by his colleague. The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the militiaman, who had shot out his colleague, are being established

Detentions of citizens

Alkhan-Yurt

In the afternoon on the 25^th of February, in the village of Alkhan-Yurt of Groznenski district workers of power departments detained and took away to unknown direction one of the local residents. This information was provided by villager of the detainee.

There is information that the arrested person was accused by law enforcers of aiding insurgents.         

                                                                                                                   Grozny

            On February 20, at one of the checkpoints in the city of Grozny workers of militia stopped a vehicle of “Zhiguli” of the ninth model driven by a local resident Batiev. According to eyewitnesses of the incident, after the check of the vehicle and documents, Batiev was detained by law enforcers.

            The reason for his detention is unknown.

    Khidi-Ktor

            As it became known from residents of the village of Khidi-Kotar of Kurchaloy district, about ten days ago employees of law enforcement structures conducted detention of a young man (the name of the detainee is not provided due to the request of the source). The reason for his detention is unknown.
