Military commendature fired at in Shali

            Last night in the district center of Shali unknown persons opened fire from grenade cup discharges at the location of the military commandant's office of the district. According to local residents, attackers made at least six-seven shots from a grenade cup discharge, and then disappeared to unknown direction.

According to some information, as a result of this bombardment one of the Russian militaries was wounded. Searches of assailants undertaken by employees of law enforcement bodies have not given any results.

Detentions of citizens

Vedeno district

            On 28 April, on the outskirts of the village of Elistanzhi of Vedenski district, employees of law-enforcement structures conducted the so-called "special operation", during which they detained and took away to unknown direction a young man. This information became known from an inhabitant of this village.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the man are being established. There is information that law enforcers accused the detainee of belonging to insurgents.

Nadterechny district

            Several days ago in Nadterechny district, on one of the highways employees of local law enforcement bodies stopped a car of "GAZELL" driven by a 30-years resident of the village of Bratskoye. After the check of the documents of the driver and examination of his vehicle, the driver was detained.

The reasons of his detention are not established.

Republic of Ingushetia

Two explosive devices found in Nazran

            On 29 April in the city of Nazran, in immediate proximity from a building of a technical school of a state farm, two self-made land mines ready to blast off were found. The information on it is received from city dwellers.

            The bomb was neutralized by military sappers arrived on the place of the incident. Who and with what purpose has planted land mines near the technical school is not known.

Yesterday, in Nazran near a bus stop at a building of the republican hospital sappers found one more land mine, which was blown up during the attempt to neutralize. No victims and injures were reported in this explosion. (Information Release № 1276 оf 29 April 2008).

Resident of Ingushetia detained in Moscow

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of Ingushetia, on 28 April, at one of the parking places in the western district of the city of Moscow workers of militia detained three persons, one of which was a 23-years young man, a resident of Ingushetia. Also, it is known that one of the arrested persons was a resident of Moscow.

The reason for his detention is not known. The surname of the young man is not provided due to the request of the source.
