Five militiamen murdered in Grozny

            On the night of May 5, in the settlement of Tashkala of Staropromyslovski district of the city of Grozny, as a result of blast off a land mine, five employees of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs were killed. According to the information, received from local residents, the incident occurred approximately at 11 pm on the crossroads of streets of Borodina and the 8th line. A powerful explosive device planted on a roadside blew up in the immediate proximity from a militia car.

            According to the available information, as a result of the explosion three employees of the regiment of Patrol-Guard Service of the Police of the MoI of the republic and two workers of the police department have been killed. Two more militiamen are hospitalized with heavy wounds. At present, only the surname of one of the killed militiamen is known - Mikailov. There is information that he was a resident of the village of Mairtup of Kurchaloiski district. Surnames of the other murdered and wounded militiamen are being established.

Militiaman shot down in Vedeno

            On the night of May 4, in Vedeno unknown persons killed an employee of the Chechen militia, the commander of the branch regiment of Patrol-Guard Service Khavazhi Bekbulatov. This information was received from an inhabitant of Vedenski district.

According to the source, the militiaman, who was coming back from the service, was shot down near the gate of his house. The searches of his murderers undertaken by employees of law enforcement bodies have not given any results.

Fighting in Urus-Martan district

            According to the information, received from local residents, on 2 May, in the vicinity of the village of Roshni-Chu of Urus-Martanovski district a clash between employees of power departments and a group of militants occurred. During the firing, which proceeded about half an hour, one employee of militia was killed. Two more law enforcers received gunshot wounds.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the killed militiaman are being established.

Chechen refugees in Germany under threat to be deported 

            According to the information, received from representatives of human rights organizations, the situation of Chechen refugees living in Germany recently has sharply become complicated. The matter of it is that some time before the decision on the issue of refugees was taken to the administrative courts of Germany. After that the number of denials to grant the right to stay in the country to refugees has sharply increased.

            There is information that in some cases denial was received by those refugees, who have been in Germany since 2000. It is closely related connected to the fact that the leadership of Russia constantly declares that military activities in the republic were completed long time ago, and the situation in the Chechen Republic has completely stabilized. Simultaneously, local authorities also reiterate that they are ready to accept and accommodate all compelled immigrants, who found refuge both in near-abroad and far-abroad countries.

            In the reality, the situation is absolutely different. Many displaced people, who have moved to the Chechen Republic from Ingushetia and other regions complain that after return home officials, who had promised to provide “mountains of gold”, have practically left them to the mercy of fate. Majority of former compelled immigrants still cannot receive indemnifications for the destroyed habitation and property, to solve problems of obtaining or construction of habitation.

            Denial to grant the so-called "positive" for Chechen refugees in Germany can lead to the case when Chechens, temporarily being there, will move to the other countries, as they do not wish to come back to uncertainty.

Militia post fired at in Nasyr-Kort

            Late night on 2 May, in the municipal district of Nasyr-Kort of the city of Nazran unidentified persons opened fire from small arms at the mobile post of militia. As a result of the attack one of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a wound and was hospitalized.

Assailants managed to escape. The surname of the suffered militiaman is being established

Attempt to blow off mosque in Nazran

            According to the information, received from inhabitants of the city of Nazran, in the second half of 2 May, in the immediate proximity from the building of the mosque in the village of Nasyr-Kort a self-made land mine of the big capacity was found. The bomb, disguised as a stone, was incidentally found by children.

The land mine was neutralized by sappers called to the place of the incident. Who and with what purpose has placed this “infernal machine” near the mosque is unknown.

Attempt to blow off militiaman in Malgobek

            According to the information received from an inhabitant of the town of Malgobek, on 30 of April, unknown persons tried to carry out the act of terrorism against the employee of local militia Daud Lyanov. There is information that a self-made explosive was revealed under his car "Zhiguli" parked at the building of the Pension fund.

The bomb has been neutralized. Organizers of this action are not established.
