Militiamen fired at in Nesterovskaya

            Late night on the 8th of January, on the outskirts of the settlement of Nesterovskaya of Ingushetia’s Sunzhenski district unknown persons fired from automatic weapons at two vehicles "Niva" with employees of militia. As a result of this attack, one officer was killed, and one more received a heavy gunshot wound and was hospitalized.

Assailants managed to escape. Their searches undertaken by employees of law enforcement bodies have not brought any results.

            The information on the incident is received from an inhabitant of the village of Nesterovskaya. According to the available data, the killed officer was employee of Sunzhenski militia department. The surname of the deceased and the wounded militiamen are being established.

«Special operation» in Surkhakhi

            According to the information, received from local residents, in the morning on the 8th of January in the village of Surkhakhi of Nazranovski district employees of power structures blocked one of the private houses on Bakinskaya street. The family of Akhmed Aushev is living in this household. The reason for conduction of the "address operation" in Surkhakhi is unknown.

According to some information, the house of Aushevs was searched. The information on arrested persons during this "special operation" was not reported.

Detentions of citizens

Grozny’s Oktiabrski district

            On January 7, in Oktiabrski district of the city of Grozny, during the so-called "address special operation", workers of law enforcement bodies detained a 33-years local resident. The reasons of detention of the man and his surname are being established.

Starye Atagi

            On January 5, in the village of Starye Atagi of Groznenski district employees of power structures detained and took away to unknown direction one of the local residents. This information was obtained from villagers of the man.

The circumstances of the incident and the surname of the arrested person are being established. According to some information, the arrested person was accused by law enforcers of aiding and abetting militants.

Grozny’s Leninski district

            On December 26, in the central market of the city of Grozny workers of the Chechen militia detained an adult man. According to eyewitnesses, militiamen checked the man’s passport, conducted his personal inspection, and then detained him and took away to unknown direction.

At present the only available information is that the arrested person was the resident of the village of Tolstoi-Yurt of Groznenski district.

Alleroi

            According to the information, received from local residents, several weeks ago on the outskirts of the village of Alleroi of Kurchaloiski district workers of militia stopped at one of the mobile posts a car "Zhiguli" of the 99th model, in which there were local Salman Chaldygov and Rakhman Magomadov. After the check of the documents and examination of the interior of the vehicle, the man was detained by law enforcers.

The reason for their detention is unknown.

Militiaman killed in Grozny

            On December 31, in Leninski district of the city of Grozny, at the house no.11 on Slavyanskaya street, two men moving on a vehicle "Zhiguli" shot down from pistols an employee of the Chechen militia. The officer received heavy wounds and died on the scene.

Assailants managed to escape to unknown direction. The attempt to detain them "on hot heels" has failed. As it became known, the killed militiaman was the chief of one of the militia departments.
