Life attempt at the Minister of MoI in Nazran

This morning in the city of Nazarn unknown suicide bomber tried to blow off a cortege of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia Musa Medov. As it became known from eyewitnesses of the incident, about 8.20 am on September 30th, on Kartoev-street in Nazran, a car "Zhiguli" VAZ-2114 of silvery color approached the vehicle of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, which then has exploded.

The suicide bomber who was driving the car has died. According to the information, as a result of the explosion, several persons, including a woman, received wounds of various level. According to the other information, a casual woman passing by the place of the incident has died and four people have suffered.

The minister and his bodyguard have not suffered. The armored vehicle, where Medov was going, has received serious damages. Also, buildings located nearby have suffered. The place of the incident, according to inhabitants of Nazran, is blocked by employees of power departments. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

Terrorist act near Ekazhevo

On 25 September, in the area of the village of Ekazhevo of Nazran district, near the so-called «Ekazhevo circle» a powerful explosive devise has worked out. One of the casual passers-by received fragmental wounds.

This information was received from eyewitnesses of the incident. According to them, there were no other victims of this explosion. Whom and for what purpose has accomplished this act of terrorism is not known.

Strikes of construction workers in Grozny

On the previous day massive strikes of workers conducting construction works of the Pobedy avenue in the Chechen capital and repairing buildings in the settlement Chernorechie of Zavodskoi district in Grozny have taken place. Participants of the meeting expressed the indignation by the fact that, despite the end of the month of Ramadan, sacred for Moslems, and approach of the day of Eid Al-Fitr, none of them received their wages.

Builders working in the settlement of Chernorechie say that they did not receive money more than two months. Earlier they were promised that they would be paid debts for two months by the end of Ramadan month.

The extreme discontent is caused by the fact that the leadership have not achieved timely payment of wages, despite works at the Pobedy avenue were conducted almost day and night, in several shifts, despite rains and cold.

Displaced people are in need of help

26 families of the internally displaced people living in former TACs (temporary accommodation centers) on 4, Koltsova street, 4 in Staropromyslovski district of the city of Grozny, can be, literally, thrown out on the street in the nearest future. As it became known from inhabitants of the TAC (now they are called hostels for citizens requiring improvements of living conditions), representatives of local authorities demand from them the immediate release of occupied premises, under the pretext that this building will be handed over to a polyclinic soon. During several weeks construction works have been on the way here.

However, the IDPs say that they simply have no place to go. Majority of them are inhabitants of Urus-Martan district. They have already repeatedly approached authorities of this administration with the request to provide them assistance in returning and accommodating in Urus-Martan district, but their requests have been ignored.

Now, due to irresponsible officials, tens of people are in risk to lose a roof over their heads during the autumn-winter period. IDPs express their bewilderment by the fact that recently an official ceremony of handing over keys from new apartments to former inhabitants of the republic, which had left it before the beginning of the first military campaign took place in Gudermes. People cannot understand, how authorities rendering such assistance to some citizens ignore problems of others.

Law enforcer wounded in Vedeno district

As it became known from inhabitants of the village of Tazen-Kala of Vedeno district, on the previous day in the vicinity of this settlement an armed conflict between a group of insurgents and employees of local power structures has occurred. According to some information, as a result of this short clash, one of law enforcers was wounded.

The information on victims among insurgents was not reported.

Additional information

According to the information received from local residents, in second half of September 25, in a large forest situated in several kilometers away the village of Chiri-Yurt of Groznenski district a fighting between Russian militaries and a group of insurgents occurred. According to the people, the firing proceeded for about a half an hour.

There is information that during this clash one of the militaries has been wounded. His name is being specified. (Information Release № 1383 of 29 September 2008).

According to the received information, as a result of this attack, Kozlov, the ensign of one of the divisions of the Minister of Defense of Russia, has been wounded.
