Statistics of murders and kidnappings for September 2005

 

In spite of continuing affirmations of representatives of the Russian and local authorities bodies about “stabilization” of situation at the territory of the Chechen Republic and “overall control” of this situation, murders and abductions of citizens at the republican territory are not stopped. Practically everyday it is reported from different districts of the republic about conducted in settlements “mopping up operations”, bombardments, murders, abductions or unauthorized detentions of citizens.

At the same time it is should mark, that events happening in mountainous districts, many facts of human rights violations are still out of view. Relatives of abducted or killed man, persons run illegal detentions or tortures often hesitate to tell about happened incident fearing for their personal safety, and safety of their lovely ones and close relatives.  

 

According to data obtained by Informational Center of CNO and published in our informational releases, just for last month at the territory of the Chechen Republic and Republic of Ingushetia more than 80 people were killed abducted. Only several people out of number of kidnapped were released later.

 

Murders

 

More than 40 people were lost in Chechnya. Out of them: 20 individuals are servicemen of law-enforcement structures, 5 individuals are participants of armed units and 1 individual is woman.  

For the same period at the territory of Ingushetia 5 servicemen of MoI were killed.

 

Abductions

 

In September at the territory of Chechnya was fixed 42 cases of kidnappings. Out of them: 37 individuals are men, 2 are women, 3 schoolchildren (releases after beatings and tortures).

In Ingushetia marked 3 cases of kidnappings.

 

Militia serviceman is abducted in Grozny

 

            In the morning on 4 October in Grozny armed persons in camouflage uniform abducted serviceman of Chechen MoI from his home. A resident of the city informed about it. Circumstances of happened incident and surname of the abducted man are clarifying.
